ICR award Anwar Padhani personal chair
The International Cancer Imaging Society (ICIS) is delighted to announce the conferment of a personal chair, by the Institute of Cancer Research, to Anwar Padhani, our 2012 President.
The Chair was awarded for Professor Padhani’s work and research in the field of cancer imaging and recognises his ongoing contribution to this important specialty. In addition to over 100 articles published in textbooks and peer review journals, including our own Cancer Imaging, Professor Padhani has lectured extensively around the world at leading conferences including RSNA, ISMRM, ECR and the ICIS Annual Teaching Course.
Professor Padhani expressed his delight at the award and extended thanks to Professor Dame Janet Husband DBE, Professor Adrian Dixon (Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge), Professor Martin Leach (Institute of Cancer Research) and Professor Rodney Reznek (St Bartholomew’s Hospital) for their support and encouragement through his career. Professor Padhani also said ‘I would like to acknowledge the varied contributions made by my employers, former and current co-workers working within this important and continually evolving area of cancer imaging.’
