International Cancer Imaging Society

Welcome!
Message from the President

Welcome to the International Cancer Imaging Society (ICIS), a professional body established to promote continuous education in oncological imaging, and stimulate research in the study of human tumour behaviour.

ICIS brings together radiologists, nuclear medicine and other specialists for the exchange of ideas through the Society online Medline-accredited journal, Cancer Imaging, and our scientific meetings, multi-centre research studies, and postgraduate courses within the field.

In October 2009, the ICIS Annual Teaching Course will be held in Salzburg, Austria, allowing the ideal combination of education, social interaction and culture.

This 9th annual course of our Society will focus on the clinical role of imaging in patients with cancer, and new techniques that will aid clinical decision-making and improve outcomes. Articles of the keynote presentations, special focus sessions and workshops are published as a Cancer Imaging special issue.

Join us today,  and by supporting ICIS through membership, you will benefit from reduced registration fees at all ICIS meetings, as well as from online access to Cancer Imaging.

Thank you for your continuing support of ICIS, and I look forward to seeing you in Salzburg!

With kind regards,
Wolfgang Schima
ICIS President
