Scientific Paper Sessions & Scientific Poster Exhibition
Abstracts selected for presentation will be published in Cancer Imaging. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified after 30th June 2010. A prize for the best oral presentation and best poster will be awarded at the Course Dinner on Tuesday evening.
Accreditation
ICIS 2010 has been accredited by the Royal College of Radiologists with 19 Category I (external) CPD credits. European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) accreditation has been applied for. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.

About the Course
The tenth annual course of our Society will focus on the clinical role of new imaging techniques in patients with cancer that will aid clinical decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Special focus sessions will cover new approaches in breast cancer, head & neck cancer, thoracic, gynaecological, peritoneal and paediatric neoplasms. Structured reporting, and imaging for treatment and assessment of response will be discussed, with developments in diffusion and functional imaging highlighted.
- Keynote lectures will be delivered on the use of molecular targeted agents in neuroendocrine malignancy, and an update on lung cancer staging related to the revised TNM classification.
- A Film Interpretation Session with teams of recognised experts will offer insight into oncologic imaging and more...
- Workshops for smaller groups will focus on a variety of clinical topics. In addition, registrants will have the opportunity to gain practical skills at "hands-on" workshops dedicated to advanced prostate imaging, breast MRI and how to differentiate focal liver lesions.
- The conference venue will be the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh located in the heart of the city, close to the beautiful castle, within easy walking distance and close proximity to the attractions of the city centre.
- Social events, including a Welcome Reception will be held at the close of lectures on Monday, with the Course Dinner held in the stunning Great Hall of the RCPE on Tuesday. Tickets are £65 per person and can be purchased with registration.
