Travelling to Oxford
Arriving by air
Oxford is within each reach of several of the UK's major airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Birmingham International. 

From London Heathrow:
The Oxford Bus Company operates a 24 hour service to and from Heathrow to Oxford Central Bus Station. The X70 bus takes approximately 1 hour 40 mins to/from terminals 1-4 and 1hr 20mins to/from terminal 5.
Alternatively, take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station (15 mins) and from there take the train to Oxford Station (1hour). Visit First Great Western's website for times and tickets.

From London Gatwick:
The Oxford Bus Company operates a 24 hour service to and from the north and south terminals at Gatwick. The X80 service takes 2 hours 30 mins.
Alternatively, take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Stations (30 mins), take the Circle underground line to Paddington Station, and from there a train to Oxford Station. Visit First Great Western for times and tickets.

From Birmingham International: 
A regular train service runs from the airport to Oxford Station and takes just 1 hour. Visit Cross Country Trains for times and tickets.

From Stansted and Luton:
The National Express bus service 737 runs from these airports and takes approx 4 hours.

Arriving by bus
Fast and frequent services run from central London to central Oxford and back. The journey takes 1 hour 40 mins, a little longer during rush hours.
The Oxford Espress (All day and evening)
The Oxford Tube (24 hour service)

Arriving by train
A frequent, direct train service operates from London Paddington Station to Oxford (First Great Western) and between Birmingham New Street and Oxford (Cross Country Trains).

Arriving by car
From London:
Take the M40 northwest out of London; leave the motorway at junction 8 sign posted towards the A40/Oxford.
Or take the M4 south west out of London, leaving the motorway at junction 13. Follow signs for the A34 north towards Oxford and take the exit from the A34 towards the A4144/Oxford/Ring Road.
From Birmingham: 
Take the M40 south towards Oxford, exiting at junction 9 for the A41/A34 towards Oxford/Bicester/Aylesbury/Newbury.

Please be aware that bus lane enforcement is in operation in Oxford which restricts access through the city centre. 

Park and Ride in Oxford
Parking can be difficult to find in Oxford so we recommend the park and ride service. There are five sites, all clearly signposted from the ring road:
Water Eaton 
Redbridge 
Pear Tree 
Thornhill 
Seacourt

Parking
