A stimulating and engaging learning experience
This highly commended one-day teaching course will be limited to 40 participants, each with their own imaging workstation and content delivered through lectures and hands-on case-based learning.
Each ICIS interactive course is designed to provide the best educational experience, which is achieved through:
· An expert international faculty drawn from the ICIS fellowship and other invited speakers
· Small group fully interactive learning with maximum of 20 delegates per classroom
· Mentored review of 35 to 40 cases on workstations, each case chosen with specific learning points
· A workbook to reinforce learning.
Learning objectives for this course:
Get acquainted with the evaluation of lung cancer screening CT scans and volumetry-based management of lung nodules.
Learn to apply the new (8th edition) TNM staging classification to imaging studies in order to stage lung cancers
Analyse imaging findings of lung nodules in order to devise appropriate management strategies
Evaluate features of thoracic malignancies (other than lung cancer) to aid in proper diagnosis and management
With grateful acknowledgement of our Society Corporate Supporter, Guerbet.
The ICIS Interactive series is designed as an advanced cancer imaging course for Radiologists, who would like to gain deeper understanding into the imaging of specific cancer areas. The courses in this series have been rated excellent by many participants.
The course is limited to 40 participants, split between two parallel workshops running concurrently. Each 1.5 hour session will commence with a lecture followed by a stimulating, interactive and often lively mentored case review of 8 to 10 cases on the workstation. At the end of the day, each participant will have reviewed 35 to 40 cases, each chosen with specific learning points. A comprehensive workbook is provided to guide the participants through the cases.
This Masterclass in the Imaging of Thoracic Neoplasms is a one day teaching course which will highlight current imaging techniques, image interpretation, and pitfalls in the evaluation of lung cancers and other thoracic neoplasms. The course will feature instruction using the new (2017) lung cancer staging classification system. Workshop style teaching with individual imaging workstations in small groups will afford participants the opportunity to learn through hands-on, case based learning, in addition to didactic lectures.
