Read with the Experts, Learn with the Best!
Comprising six segments of case-based learning, each consisting of preview of cases, MCQs to answer and a 45-minute webinar with discussion of each case.

Hepatobiliary Series

We have launched a new 'Read with the Experts' learning series, comprising six segments throughout 2023, all focussing on hepatobiliary imaging.

Each segment will feature five diagnostically challenging cases curated by ICIS Fellows, all international experts in this specialist field.

Five full-DICOM cases per segment will be available for preview and self-assessment by answering MCQs related to each case.

A 45-minute ‘Reading with the Expert’ webinar will be available to all registrants who have completed the self-assessment and submitted answers to the MCQs. During the webinar the correct answers will be revealed with Q&A enabling discussion of the diagnostic challenges and key learning points of each case.

All MCQ answers will be collated at the end of the series and the attendee achieving the highest self-assessment score through the whole series will be awarded a prize!

The learning objectives of this new dynamic learning experience will provide participants with the opportunity to:

  • Experience real-world practice

  • Recognise features of more common liver diseases

  • Enhance their knowledge of liver imaging and understand anomalies in a day-to-day context

  • Identify unusual liver lesions and potential mimics of liver disease

Online access to full DICOM images will be through the Collective Minds (CMRAD) platform for personal review with related MCQs to answer during your review.

Registration with the CMRAD platform will be required to access the cases through a closed group – “ICIS Hepatobiliary Series 1”. Please note that ICIS will supply CMRAD with your name and email to complete the registration. You are at liberty to utilise the rest of the CMRAD platform once registered and equally your registration can be cancelled at any time.

The case reading webinar session with the ICIS expert will only be available to those who have completed the MCQs and submitted answers prior to the webinar.

Our 'Read with the Experts' series is suitable for residents, fellows and general radiologists but may also be of interest to senior, specialist, or faculty staff to test their diagnostic skills!

The whole series is free for ICIS members.

A registration fee of £20 per segment will be payable by non-members, or £100 if booking the complete series.
